Artist Bio - Vanessa Gibson

I mainly use furniture as a canvas to draw and paint on, creating extreme upcycled pieces. My work features song lyrics and is bold and colourful, black and white or a contrasting mix. I like to experiment with colour, line and shape, transforming stuff and giving it a new lease of life. I also sew clothing using upcycled fabrics as well as creating original batik pieces. I am a member of Kelty Street Art, and also PTC Creative Art Faculty at a busy Fife High School.
